  Eight-Section Brocade

 Form 8.     Jolting

Stand at ease.  Lift your heels and raise your body.  Lower the heels suddenly to give your body a little shock.  Inhale while lifting the heels and exhale while lowering them.  For those who are not very strong, lower the heels gently instead of suddenly.  The head should be kept erect to prevent too much shock to the cervical vertebrae.

This form serves as the closing form by applying some light vibration to the spine and internal organs.  It also helps to strengthen the ligaments along the spine and has certain therapeutic effects for flat feet.

This is the last form of the routine. Return to the preparation form and relax for a while before finishing.
